Flying Dutch Excel in Final NCAA Division III Volleyball Stats

Complete NCAA volleyball stats

The MIAA champion Hope College volleyball team was ranked in several categories of the final NCAA statistics for the 2000 season.

The Flying Dutch posted a 31-8 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Division III championships.

  • Freshman Laura Geurink of Zeeland, Mich. (Zeeland HS) ranked 12th in the nation in hitting percentage. Her stats were the second best among all Division III freshmen in the nation.
  • Senior Kim Grotenhuis of Hamilton, Mich. (Hamilton HS) ranked among the nation's top setters finishing 23rd in assists per game.
  • As a team, Hope ranked 8th in the nation in kills, 23rd in services aces, and 29th in hitting percentage.
