Multicultural Life Enrichment Series Begins Season

The Multicultural Life Enrichment Series at Hope College will begin its 2005-06 season with the presentation "Una Mujer de Color, a Woman of Color" on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 4 p.m. in the Maas Center conference room.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The presentation will be led by Yolanda Vega, who is assistant director of Hope College Upward Bound, joined by a Hope College Latino student panel. The participants will provide insights into their individual experiences and also field questions from the audience.

The presentation has been scheduled in conjunction with national Latino Heritage Month, which runs September 15-October 15. The event has been planned in collaboration with La Raza Unida, the college's Latino student organization, and will be followed by a Latino Food Festival Dinner in the Phelps and Cook dining halls from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Cook Hall is located on 10th Street between College and Columbia avenues. The Maas Center is located on Columbia Avenue at 11th Street. Phelps Hall is located on Columbia Avenue at 10th Street.
