Orchestra Concert to Include Faculty Composition

The Hope College Orchestra will perform on Friday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The performance will include the world premiere of a work by Hope College music faculty member Robert Lunn, a classical guitarist who has composed several pieces for guitar. Lunn's work for the orchestra is titled "Passage for Orchestra."

Faculty member Charles Aschbrenner, piano, will be featured in a performance of George Gershwin's well-known "Rhapsody in Blue."

Also included in the evening's performances will be Dmitri Kabalevsky's overture to the opera "Colas Breugnon," and Alexander Brodin's "Symphony No. 2 in b minor."

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located on College Avenue at 12th Street.
