Hope College is in the familiar position of leading the MIAA Commissioner's Cup standings after the winter season.
With league championships in three of the four winter sports, Hope has taken an eight-point lead over rival Calvin in the Commissioner's Cup standings which are based on the cumulative finish in league-sponsored play.
With twelve of the MIAA's 18 sports completed for this school year, Hope has crowned five champions -- football, men's golf, men's and women's basketball, and men's swimming/diving.
Hope teams have finished in the top half of the standings in every MIAA sport so far this year. In addition to the five champions, other finishes have included: men's soccer, volleyball and women's swimming/diving, 2nd place; men's and women's cross country and women's soccer, 3rd place; and women's golf, 4th place.
