Park Theatre 248 South River, Holland, Michigan 49423

The Hope College Concert Series welcomes Pomegranates to the Park Theater in Holland on October 26th at 8pm.

Pomegranates, hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, will be headlining the evening with their infectious and diverse indie rock sound. They have consistently wowed critics and fans with both their energetic live shows and their four full-length releases. Striking a balance between immediately catchy songwriting and exciting innovation, each of the band’s four albums show the band’s creativity to a greater extent.

The band’s second album Everybody, Come Outside! offered a fresh take on an upbeat indie rock sound. Paste Magazine said about it, “It’s hard not to get swept up in the cascading guitars, chant-along gang vocals, hand-clap rhythms and overarching, almost-childlike hopefulness.” The Hope College Concert Series brought the band to Holland after the release of this album about 3 years ago.

The release of the fourth Pomegranates album Heaven, which was released this summer, marks the band’s continued success and talent. CityBeat refers to this newest release as “a stunning work of art that manages to top not only the Poms’ past three albums, but also most “big name” releases this year so far.”

The Hope College Concert Series brought Pomegranates to Holland about 3 years ago, and after that fantastic performance, it became clear that the band deserved continued attention and support. Hosting the show in Holland’s Park Theater allows for the excitement and energy of the band’s live sound to be featured and to encourage the audience’s interaction, and it also offers collaboration with an active and valuable local venue.

In addition to the concert, the Concert Series will sponsor an open conversation with the members of the band.
