In collaboration with Student Development, Campus Ministries and the Academic Departments, the Office of Multicultural Education (OME) at Hope College will be launching the G.R.O.W. movement.
The scriptures from Genesis to Revelation tell the story of God’s love for all people and encourage us to love one another as He loves us. But, the question is how can you love someone that you do not know? The G.R.O.W. movement is designed to develop rich and authentic relationships through open and honest dialogues that will allow students, faculty, staff, and administrators to get to know one another while growing as brothers and sisters in Christ.
The G.R.O.W. movement fosters the concept that diversity is a journey and everyone will be starting from different places. Those differences will allow for deeper conversations, perspectives and understanding. As we take this journey, it is important to have an open mind as we work together to build a united and inclusive community.
This opening event will be informational with remarks from our new president, Dr. John Knapp, senior administrators and student leaders; as well as celebratory with the participation from a variety of talented entertainers.
