The Department of Art and Art History is a community of creative and research-minded individuals who share common interests in the field of art. The educational processes of individual creativity and collaborative research take place in the De Pree Art Center, a facility that supports these activities. Centers of creative research require a secure environment, which encourages openness and expects honesty. Therefore we require that all individuals who participate in the department programs, as current students, faculty, administrators, and guests, subscribe to the following code of ethics:

1. Items in the individual studios are personal property and should be respected as such.

2. Works of art are intellectual property and should be respected as such.

3. Secured internal studios are open only to currently enrolled students who have the permission of the instructors in charge.
