Arts and Humanities Funding

July 24, 2012--I'm excited to alert you to a $30,000 sabbatical fellowship opportunity from the Howard Foundation - Brown University. The foundation has a 5 year rotation cycle for different art/humanities fields. This year they are supporting early to mid-career faculty in painting, sculpting and the history of art and architecture. The application deadline is Nov 1, 2012 with a decision made in April 2013. Your fellowship would be for the 2013-14 academic year. However, they do allow you to postpone the fellowship to fit your schedule.

Future rounds of support will be:

Creative Arts Historical and Critical Studies
2014-15: Playwriting, Music Theatre studies, musicology and history
2015-16: Creative writing: fiction and poetry Philosophy
2016-17: Creative Non-Fiction, Literary Translation into English Film studies, literary studies
