Experience
After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I worked as a lab technician doing basic molecular genetics on one of the malaria parasites. After that, I went to graduate school in ecology where I combined traditional ecological methods with molecular techniques in the study of local adaptations in a grass/fungal endophyte system native to the southwestern United States.
