Variants of Bingo

Make a table like the one here on
the right, only make it fill a page.

Then write 5 letters across the top
to spell a word relevant to the review.

Put in a free space in the center

Then give everyone or every team a set of directions, a word list and a game board.  They put a different word from the list into each space on the game board except for the free space.

The "caller" then calls out a definition or phrase associated with one of the terms on the list.  People who have written the associated word in a space put an X in that space.  When 5 in a row have been X'd across, down or diagonally, the person is to shout (loudly) Water! (or Gland! or Fungi! depending on the game.)

Then the caller has to check the winning board to be sure they got the right answers.  Do this so the whole class is in on it -- another chance to review these particular words.  "Did we use 'nephron' on this round?"  "Yes, it is the functional unit of the kidney."
