Hilary Bosscher
Major: Communication
Class of 2008

Tell us about your study abroad experience.
I traveled to England and took classes and did an internship at Creative Advertising Agency. While working there I researched, conducted interviews, and even worked at photoshoots. I also did graphic design and helped them with their website.

How did your communication classes help you prepare for your time overseas?
I took Media I before I did the internship. It was very helpful to prepare me. In the class we had to learn to write copy as well as learn how to research and sell a product which was very useful when working for the advertising agency.

Why should students study abroad?
Studying abroad is a great eye-opening experience. For me personally I got to see how different cultures approach advertising which will help me in my future career.

What are some fun activities that you have taken part of on Hope's campus?
I participated in some intramural sports such as softball, flag football, and basketball. It was a great way to meet people; intramurals provide a fun atmosphere where you can just meet people and have a good time.
