Perl

A stable, truly cross platform programming language used in a wide variety of applications. Perl borrows features from C, shell scripting (sh), awk, sed, Lisp, and (to a lesser extent) many other programming languages.

The Parallel::MPI module has been installed on the Curie cluster. Basic parallel MPI perl scripts can be run on the cluster. A short perl parallel example of a master and slave routine translated from c generates a mandelbrot set displayed here in a Sun rasterfile.
