Thank you for visiting the
"HOPE BLOOMS IN PUERTO ESCONDIDO"
program website!

Hope College is now offering students a unique, life-changing opportunity to explore God’s calling for their lives as members of the global community.

“Hope Blooms in Puerto Escondido,” the school's first college-wide international internship program, enables students to spend May and June terms in small communities in southern Mexico...

  • serving as interns in local civil and mission organizations,
  • learning through challenging academic coursework,
  • experiencing Mexican life and culture by living with host families,
  • and exploring Mexico's treasures and trials through a variety of activities and excursions.

"I feel like I have a deeper understanding of the Mexican culture and the Mexican people.. I can better undertand...their struggles and views of life. I have experienced things on this trip that I never thought I would."
      - Meckenzie Snyder ('09)
