FAQs about the Management Minor
What has NOT changed about the management minor?
- All minors take ECON 211 and 212
What are the changes?
- MGMT 100 (2 cr) is no longer required.
- MGMT 200 (4 cr) has been replaced
by a new course--MGMT 221 (4 cr). MGMT 221 is not being offered
in Fall 2007.
- MGMT minors will take both ACCT 221 and ACCT 222 for
3 credits—the
labs for these classes are required only for accounting majors
and minors.
- MATH 210 (4 cr) OR 311 (2cr) AND 312 (2cr) is required for
the management minor.
- MGMT 371 (4 cr) is required for the management minor.
- The management
minor requires a minimum of 21 credits.
How do these changes affect me?
- If you are a management minor who plans to complete your degree
in the 2007-2008 academic year, you should complete your management
minor by following the “old
minor” requirements.
- If you are a management minor who plans to complete your degree
after summer 2008, you may follow the “transitional
minor” requirements
OR the “new
minor” requirements.
Important Notes
- If you’ve taken no management classes, follow the “new” pattern.
- If you’ve taken only Mgmt 100, follow the “transitional” pattern.
- Mgmt 221 (4 cr) is required for the new management minor, but
is not being offered in Fall 2007. Management minors may substitute
Mgmt 222
(4 cr) for Mgmt 221.
- Consult faculty in the Management Department with any questions.
