HOMECOMING PARADE
In the fall, SCEC members invited local adult foster care homes to experience the homecoming parade and/or football game.

BASKETBALL GAME
SCEC invited local adult foster care homes to attend a Hope College basketball game during the spring semester.

REVERSE FIELD TRIPS
SCEC invited local special education classes to experience the life of a college student, taking them on a tour through Hope’s campus, a visit to the Dow Center, Phelps cafeteria, etc.

CHRISTMAS COOKIE PARTY
SCEC invited adults from local adult foster care homes to decorate Christmas cookies during the holidays.

FIRST YEAR TEACHER PANEL
SCEC invited recent graduates to come and share words of wisdom about their first years in the teaching field.

MICHIGAN CEC CONFERENCE, Grand Rapids, MI
SCEC officers have the opportunity to present at the annual Michigan CEC conference each February. In the past members have presented on Reverse Field Trips.

NCLP PANEL
SCEC members invited local and state school board members and administrators to discuss their experiences and thoughts regarding the No Child Left Behind Act with Hope education students.
