The committee met to discuss the possibilities of designing an electronic portfolio to showcase the knowledge and skills of pre-service teachers, rationale for this, ways to do it, and areas that should be included. Under discussion were using CDs, zip disks, web pages, DVD, PowerPoint, and Document map.
The committee designed a draft mission statement; to explore
ways for students to save information from classes that will document their
knowledge and skills as future teachers, and determine which methods can be supported at
Kristi Creswell will check with Dan from Video Services to see if he will speak to the committee about using DVDs as a means to store and showcase information gathered.
