I'm a graduate of Hope College and received a masters degree from Western Michigan University. I am married to Terry Hofmeyer and have 4 children. I taught at Maplewood Elementary School in Holland until retirement in 2000. Collecting children's literature is one of my joys and I read from my collection of books to our 8 grandchildren. I also enjoy calligraphy, reading, and running.
