My
name is Yooyeun Hwang. I am an educational psychologist and teach
Educational Psychology classes at Hope. Encounter with Cultures
is one Interdisciplinary class that I teach regularly. In addition,
I teach a seminar, “Leaning and Learning Strategies,” in
the Psychology department.
Although
teaching is my major commitment at Hope, I am also involved in
empirical research studies and professional activities in my
field. For example, I have been working on research studies concerning
students’ learning and their learning strategies. Recently,
I also started to work on college students’ development
of reflective thinking. I have served as a reviewer for professional
research organizations such as Midwestern Education Research
Association (MWERA) and American Educational Research Association
(AERA).
