Educational Technology Standards

Integrating Technology into the Educational Sequence

The Hope College Department is committed to preparing teachers to use technology as a tool to transform teaching and learning. A key issue in training is the integration of technology into the curriculum at all levels of the educational sequence. We have created a sequential and hierarchical mastery of technology skills. This process integrates a variety of technology tools into all existing classes, and eliminates the need for a separate computer class that may have no correlation to course content. The National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) for Teachers serve as our framework.
