web search for resources

Standard 7: Use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information from a variety of sources.

In Units 4 and 5 of the Secondary Block, students examine the instructional resources that they are able to access from the Block Web Site in order to explore:

1. how Direct Instruction and Cooperative Learning design frameworks are utilized and adapted in lesson plans in their content areas.

Direction to the Block students:

Web Exploration for Lesson Plans--Go to the following sites and explore the lesson plan resources that are available here. Look for the Direct Instruction and Cooperative Learning frameworks, to see if you can recognize them. Make a resource file (of your own design) of those plans/designs that you believe are worthy of your own collection of "future possibilities."

Direction to the Block students:

The following resources are found on the Technology site of a neighboring school district. As you explore these resources for lesson planning, realize that you are examining a site that has been assembled through the "discoveries" of teachers and technology consultants in the district. They are resourcing one another!
