ENGS 170 - Computer Aided Design

Course Description
An introduction to Computer Aided Design. Students will use a solid modeling design system for the purpose of creating their own designs. Design methods and techniques will be studied through development of increasingly complex devices. Each student is expected to design a device of his/her own choosing, investigate its properties, write a report on it and make a presentation of the design to the class

Course Objectives
•  To develop a basic understanding of computer aided design principles [1,3]
•  Learn to design an object to meet stated objectives [1,4]
•  Experience a design project requiring research, investigation, and multiple constraints [1,4]
•  Develop oral and written presentation skills. [1,5]
