ENGS 346 - Fluid Mechanics

Course Description
The study of fluid mechanics is essential in analyzing any physical system involving liquids and gases. The properties of a fluid and the concepts of fluid statics, the integral and differential and analyses of fluid motion, and incompressible flow are presented. Applications of these concepts to various engineering situations, such as propulsion systems, aerodynamics, and piping systems, are examined.

Course Objectives
•  Develop an understanding of the basic concepts of fluid mechanics [1, 2, 3, 4].
•  Become familiar with opportunities for further study in fluid mechanics [1].
•  Improve thinking and problem solving abilities [3].
•  Refine and apply knowledge of mathematics [1,2].
•  Develop and improve communication skills [5].
