Dynamic Systems and Controls Laboratory

The equipment used in this laboratory is the Rectilinear Dynamics System and the Industrial Emulator/Servo System, both manufactured by Educational Control Products. The rectilinear system consists of a servo-controlled motor driving 1 to 3 inter-connected carriages mounted on linear bearings. The industrial emulator consists of a servo-controlled motor driving 2 rotational disks coupled together by an adjustable pulley/belt system. Interactive software, provided by the manufacturer, is used to drive the systems, monitor positions and implement feedback controllers. In addition, the laboratory has a Labview data acquisition system and a variety of custom electro-mechanical systems.

Used in the following courses:
ENGS 333 - Dynamic Systems and Controls Laboratory
ENGS 332 - Dynamic Systems and Controls II
