WHY DO RESEARCH AT HOPE COLLEGE?

Hope College has a long, rich history of undergraduate research.

You will work directly with a faculty mentor to answer questions at the forefront of scientific research.

Social activities with over 150 fellow research students occur most evenings and weekends.


Hope has had as many as six NSF-REU grants.



U.S. News and World Report ranked Hope College 4th in the nation for undergraduate research in 2003.

Students selected for the program will receive a stipend of $3840 for the 8 week program, or $480 per week for projects with a different duration as shown in their project descriptions. Applicants must be registered at Hope College for the following fall semester and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Applications will be reviewed starting February 15, 2015 for Hope College students. We do not anticipate offering any positions to students from other institutions in 2015. All positions are offered pending availability of funding.
