Dionex Ion Chromatograph

An ion chromatograph is an instrument used for detecting anions in aqueous samples. Ion chromatography is a process that allows the separation of ions and polar molecules based on the charge properties of the molecules. It is used in protein purification, water analysis, and quality control (wikipedia.org). Hope College students and faculty in the GES department use the IC for analysis of groundwater samples in laboratory classes and research projects.
