Guidelines for Examinations
- length: about two typed pages per question
- organization
- introductory statement: hypothesis
- argument: series of generalizations followed by specifics
- strong conclusion
- procedures
- A list of questions will be made available to the class before each exam.
- Part I of the exam will consist of two questions from that list, both of which must be answered.
- Part II will consist of three questions, one of which must be answered.
- Due: In my mailbox at the History Department office by
3:00 PM (Feb. 6 and March 10 exams)
4:00 PM (April 28 exam).
