Guidelines for Paper Assignments
- General
- Length: five typed pages (meaning five full pages) with standard margins, except Hard Times paper, which should be 2-3 pages.
- Due date: Papers are due at the beginning of the class for which the source is scheduled to be discussed. If submitted later the grade will be reduced.
- Citations:
- You can use any of the standard methods of citation (see St. Martin's Handbook).
- For papers based on docpacs:
- (Wesley 4) for citing Wesley in the First docpac.
- In the works cited page, if an author, title and/or date is listed for the source, give these and then note where it appears, (e.g., John Wesley, A Plain Account of the People Called Methodists (1749), in "The Evangelical Revival," p. 4 of Coursebook [2004]).
- If nothing is listed for the source, simply identify where it appears in the docpac (e.g., "The Evangelical Revival," p. 3 of Coursebook [2004]).
- Specific papers: see separate pages for each of the four papers.
