Who teaches history
at Hope College?
History faculty members bring varied backgrounds
to their teaching. Some hold degrees in other areas, such as law, architecture, or
the
ministry. All have sustained their research interests through work in
the geographical areas of their specialties, whether in the field
or in
archives or records offices. Extended stays in Argentina, Britain, China, France,
Kenya, and Germany help to assure both
currency
in scholarship and vitality in the classroom. Books and articles published
by the History faculty are used as texts in colleges across the country, cited for their importance in studies by other scholars, or have won
national awards.
