About the Clinical Program

All athletic training majors complete clinical internships totaling at least 1200 hours under the direct supervision of a certified athletic trainer. Although most of your experience will come from working with Hope student-athletes in our two athletic training rooms, you will also serve three rotations in each of the following settings:

A local high school
A local hospital-based sports medicine clinic
Our team physician's family medicine office

Many students participate in summer internships in athletic training. Our students have gained valuable summer experience in:

Professional football
Sports medicine clinics
University sports camps
The Junior Olympic program
State games
Special Olympics
