The Martha Miller Center for Global Communication houses the departments
of communication and of modern and classical languages, as well as the
offices of international education and multicultural life. It is also
the location for the director of the college's new Center for Faithful
Leadership program, which is currently under development. The 49,000
square foot building is named in honor of the late Martha Miller, who
died in 1999 at age 96, in recognition of a $3 million leadership gift
her family made on behalf of the project through her estate. The project
totals $12 million.

- The Martha Miller Center for Global Communication was built on Columbia
Avenue between 10th and 11th streets, on property formerly occupied
by Lincoln Elementary School.
- The college broke ground in late April of 2004. The Martha Miller
Center opened for the 2005-06 school year, with the dedication being
held October
15, 2005
- Construction manager for the Martha Miller Center was Lakewood Construction
Co. of Holland.
- The architectural firm was Design Plus of Grand Rapids.
- The project totaled $12 million.
