The French attack is now in earnest. 1/45 moves to the far west of Stonne, awaiting support that never arrives. 1/67 assaults across the open area north of Stonne under the cover of smoke and takes the lower ridge. 3-205 continues moving south, 6 GRDI + 3/49 are tasked with defending the north and exit the picture. 4-II-8 regroups for a final attack on Stonne (they need to implement new op sheet I think). 6-II-8, on a reserve Op Sheet, commits itself to the attack in the narrow space between II/GD and I/69. And as we can see, I/69 moves to help II/GD, attacking the French in the woods. 2/67 is stopped, but the support of 1/49 BCC strengthens them immensely.
3/67 + 2/49 BCC attack Stonne from the SE, and are met by a huge BN arty mission, which stops the attack cold for 2-3 turns. However, 16 BCP, after doing an end run, gets back south of Stonne, and 42 BCC moves right up to the town, forcing the defenders to hide within.
Lehr moves up some to help in the coming counterattack.
