As your unit waits, a line of attacking Germans (approx. company strength) comes into view. You and the supporting tanks open fire, driving the Germans back and inflicting casualties. Your unit only came under sporadic small-arms fire. The Germans hit towards the middle of your line, more to the west than the east.
The Germans pulled back out of view.
You withdraw and contract your lines, and are able to pull your mortar unit back and cover it's retreat with MG sections an a platoon. Your line is approximately 3.22 - 6.20 - 6.17. The Germans do not press you, and your are still out of contact, though there seems to be movement to you east, heading south. You have a few platoons in local reserve.
6 GRDI apparently is in motion towards Worm to support you.

The Germans pulled back out of view.
In the confusion of contact, you have not yet been able to work out whether your units is prepared to move as ordered, though it seems that things have developed somewhat since that order came though.
Your unit concentrates and hits the road heading towards Worm, avoiding using the roads that are visible from the air. Your lead element is in 08.11, the rest behind. You estimate that you should get there in about 30 minutes, hopefully in time to help 3/205.
A German force moves into contact with 1-2/205 RI and 4 BBC, and is driven back.
3/205 is pulling back, but fears it's cut off by a blocking German force.
6 GRDI is moving towards Worm.
French planes attack the Germans out in the open area to the north of Stonne, slowing them down.
German planes are circling about, but don't seem to have found any targets.
6 GRDI reports that its opsheet is IMPLEMENTED and they are ready to move out.
II GD moves up to Stonne to support I/GD. I/GD is hit by a number of airstrikes in the open area north of Stonne, but was more slowed down than hurt. Nevertheless, a lead platoon of I/GD, supported by an StGIII entered Stonne unopposed. The town is apparently free of French units. Your supporting group B is still in the woods to the North of Stonne, since they didn't want to group up on the plain in face of possible French artillery and air attacks.
Your troops move up to the edge of Stonne unopposed in order to support I/GD into the town. Strange, you should have come under some sort of fire. The lead elements of I/GD enter Stonne and you hear no sounds of resistance. It appears the town is unoccupied.
Now what? The rest of your troops are disposed as you requested - let me know what changes you want to make due to the new situation (if any).
9th Co. continues their cautious pursuit, reaching xx.24 with no contact. Your AT guns and Inf. Guns are in La Vivier as ordered.
10th Co. is in 8.19 - 8.22, slowing down to maintain contact with 9th co.
11th co. loses contact with the French forces (which pulled out before you were able to respond.) You move to pursue, but discover strong blocking forces, and your unit decides to wait for your orders since the defending force seemed superior. The Co. establishes a blocking position around 6.15 - 8.16 and is awaiting your instructions.
The French force you have encircled seems fairly sizeable from the noise and your basic 'instincts'.
No arty or air support was possible because of the very limited visibility in the woods. No targets for mortar fire were detected.

Stu.Pio reports being ambushed in their movement to the east-west tertiary road, but withdrew in good order.
III/GD is pursuing the retreating French, and has established a blocking force that is attempting to cut them off.
8-II is advancing towards the woods to the south and east of Stonne. No contact reported.
German air units were present, but found no targets.
Your line approaches the east/west road, and is suddenly taken under fire by ambushing French inf, supported by at least 10-12 tanks in line just behind the road. You are able to maintain good control of your troops and withdraw back north out of sight, though with approx. 10 casualties (that's men, not steps!). Your co. commanders refer to you for instructions. You have 2 cos. in line with a co. in reserve. Your units took the initiative to establish flank protection.
The force seems pretty big to handle without AT and mortar support.
Your units move as ordered. Your armor commanders that are assembling together prefer to stay in the woods rather than the open, since French airplanes are seen flying about the battlefield. No contact with any French units.
