Nothing to report. Your tanks pull back to their area and begin waiting for the next move. You do hear some fighing to the south-east, but are unsure what it is or how far away (fairly distant).
You begin your assault to your assigned objective. Your tanks lead, but are going cautiously (i.e. flipping to combat mode after moving), so progress in the woods across the stream is slow. No units encountered so far (1 hex into the attack...)
An infantry platoon was hard hit by German air while crossing the open area from the western woods. There always seem to be German planes patrolling your sector. Perry-luck, eh? :-)
You continue a cautious advance to clear the area assigned, and encounter German infantry of about company strength in 34.18, 35.18 and 36.18. Your tanks engage, while the infantry holds back. You inflict casualties on the inf. in 34.18, but lose a tank in the fighting.
You also have about 5 tanks deployed in the woods looking at Stonne in case you are engaged from that direction.
Your commanders have been winging it, so it is time for some direction from on high! How was the trip, BTW?
Nothing to report. Your troops aren't sure what to do, so they held this turn (which was just a single turn, not a double turn). They will need instructions for the next move.
Your FO team that was supposed to call in some smoke fire was subjected to a heavy artillery bombardment and went off the air. Hmmm...
You are in Huttes (the OC), B-Bossu is to the east in the woods with I/67.
1-2/205 has entered a Hasty Defense around their assigned point.
Your tanks detect approximately 1 bn. of German troops moving down the main road south to La Besace. Lead motorcycle troops have passed Raymoy, you estimate that the column should enter La Besace in about 15 minutes. Numerous AT guns pulled by trucks support the column.
Absolutely nothing to report. Boy, these woods are peaceful!
At long last, your company commanders of 1-2 cos. report that your troops around Stonne have been dug-in. FINALLY! French planes strafed the town again, but no casualties were reported.
3rd co. reports French tanks moving on its position from the SW. The mortars backed up a little, but they didn't encroach into Lehr area to keep control of the troops.
You can detect French tank movement in the woods north of Stonne. Not enough to get a good shot, but you know they are there, and apparently engaging II/GD troops located there.
7th co. reports suffering heavy French tank attack. One tank was destroyed, but heavy pressure is being applied. Your platoon in 34.18 is under especially heavy pressure. French tanks have almost surrounded you.
Lange reports that he has attached 6 AT guns to your command for 7th co. area. What would you like them to do? They have not yet arrived.
No special news from the troops. 1/69 has entered the battlefield, and you have been given PzAufk. 90 for your use. Your staff has informed Lange and has requested that he instruct them on how to proceed.
Lange has requested that you detach 6 AT guns from Lehr to move immediately to II/GD. They are attempting to do so now, so you have 6 left under your control.
Your outposts for Stu.Pio. report French tanks moving directly towards your positions from the South West.
Oh *(@#*@&, not again! :-)
You begin organizing your move (prelim. instructions) but are unable to move out yet (a few tanks needed to refuel, etc.) 6/II/8 and Lehr are holding in place - you have been unable to find the commanders for either unit via radio.
PzAufk. 90 has been released for your Kampfgruppe. As KG commander, you may give the initial op sheets. I don't have a player for this one yet, so if you want to switch units later when it enters, let me know.
No sign of the Frogs.
Nothing new to report. Lange is trying to get in touch with you. You did not attack south, as it seems Lange has other plans for your unit. You'll need to get in touch with him. 4-II-8 is very close, so you could walk/drive over if you want.
No sign of the Frogs.
Your unit enters the map and heads towards La Besace. You have an additional motorcylce recon unit which is taking the point. Your lead elements have entered Raymoy, the recon platoon is about 400m ahead.
How dense do you want your column? i.e. stacking instructions.
