You observe a German attack from around 34.08 into Stonne. They seem to have entered Stonne and then were thrown back. You were too far away to get involved.
That's it! A French victory as you have certainly already read.
Your troops make it until nightfall! No action on your front, thankfully. You hear raging battle to the south as the sun begins to set. News is that Stonne has held against a strong counterattack.
It's over!
You find yourself the object of a sharp German counterattack. Infantry moves up towards Stonne around 36.13, and your tanks are picked off by AT guns at long range (they had moved out into the open valley under smoke cover and then got initiative...) You lose at least 6 tanks, as all tanks on the road north of Stonne (33.14-37.12) are eliminated. Ugh.
You suffer lots of artillery fire too, and numerous infantry platoons fall back under heavy pressure. The Germans are successful in reaching the edge of Stonne, and because of the confused state of your defense, you are unable to stop them. Good thing it was too little too late! French tanks in Stonne put an end to the German advance, which made it to 37.12, 36.12 and 35.13.
The French win! At the end it was sort of a near thing though, the Germans could have gotten back into Stonne for a draw or only minor French victory.

Nothing much happens on your front during the last turn. German units press their attack at 45.10 area, and you shoot up some AT guns, which in turn shoot up a French tank. But the attack there is stalled, and you have no other contact. You held the line! Congratulations!
You work on getting your troops adjusted in Stonne and the village to the south, just in time! German Armored Cars continue their pressure and take the town to the south of Stonne. They set up a base of fire from MG cars to cover the advance of an infantry company to Stonne around 34.10. You engage them, but your fire is not very effective, and the German cover fire pins most of your troops down. German infantry assaults into 34.11, eliminating 2 defending platoons! BUT your HW units have implemeted defense orders so they can SFA (pretty much everyone else in stonne can't) so you muster 17 points of MG and mortar fire, point blank with crossfire, and ELIMINATE the German platoon that had entered Stonne on the last turn. *PFEW*! You save the French Major Victory! Congrats!
There are still Germans directly to the south as night falls, but there are so many French tanks around that they will not last. Stonne is regained.
Your 3/67 is roughly treated by German attacking from 39.12 area. You defend around 37.11-40.10, and at the end of the day are at 50% strength. That was some fighting! And you were supposed to be batting clean-up :-)
You have 3 tanks in the town to the South of Stonne that take the brunt of a German armored car attack. Your tanks are eliminated, but you take some Germans with you. German infantry assaults Stonne right beside you, but your fire is unable to stop them. An assault unit enters Stonne at 2000, but it is finally driven back at dusk. The German attack has culminated, and you should be able to disperse the Bosch before too long. French victory!

Fast haettest du es geschafft! 6-II-8 was busy knocking French infantry around, but really didn't get anywhere (and lost a tank to an AT roll). But the Aufk 90 did a credible job. Using a base of fire from the ACs, you eliminated the French tanks defending 34.08, then set up a fire base there to cover your infantry which charged Stonne. 2 platoons were stopped 1 hex shy of Stonne, but the 3rd made it into 34.11, assaulted the French there and eliminated them! However, you had only 1 step left after the fight, and some French units in Stonne had an implemented Op Sheet. Caught in a crossfire of MGs and heavy Mortar fire, your last few men crumbled, so you lost the hex in the last phase of the last turn. Almost!
Good game! Thanks for going the whole game and commanding 3 separate units!
You continue to push, but your troops are exhausted and disheartened. You get a final attack around 45.09, but it bogs down. You eliminate a French tank, but lose 2 AT guns in the trade. Time to pull back and lick your wounds. The French in those woods were tough!
Well, it was a near thing! You call in a huge barrage to soften up Stonne, then change under smoke cover. Getting the initiative, you were able to clear the slope of French tanks with your AT guns, and the Infantry Guns did great service, causing a whole company of French infantry to retreat. You packed up what AT guns you could and charged. And you almost made it! Your troops got to 35.13 - 37.12, adjacent to Stonne, but couldn't make it in, because of heavy French fire and French tanks in Stonne, which you couldn't engage with your AT guns. But with an extra hour, you may have made it! Getting initiative helped tremendously, because you used all your guns to good effect, then called in smoke to protect you from French artillery. Good move!
If you had advanced more quickly on Stonne, and if 7th co. had gone with your main force, you may have gotten into Stonne. Oh well!
