Hope Blooms:

May / June program on Mexico’s
Oaxacan Pacific coast

  • Program emphasis is on service learning in small, poor Mexican towns.
  • Internships assigned to students according to their majors, skills, and interests. Work done in Spanish. 4 credits received.
  • Seminar course on Vocation and Social Entrepreneurship: available for Senior Seminar Credit or other. 4 credits received.
  • Home stays with wonderful local Mexican families, all of whom are members of Habitat for Humanity.
  • Requires a minimum of 4 semesters of college-level Spanish by the fall of the academic year preceding program participation
  • Requires a 2-credit prep course in the Spring before leaving for Mexico.
