Tracy McMichael

Tracy is a graduate of Hope College with a BA in accounting. She earned her MBA at George Washington University in Washington, DC. She started her career in Chicago in public accounting and earned her CPA, before becoming a manager at Oracle where she led global implementations of accounting systems. Then she moved back to DC.

Tracy considers it a privilege to have had the experience of working for the General Counsel of the Air Force at the Pentagon, the National Security Agency and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington, DC.

In 2008, Tracy and her husband Tim chose Holland, Michigan as their home to raise their young family and sail on Lake Michigan. She is currently a Senior Manager at Herman Miller.

Tracy enjoys teaching and volunteering her time with the Center for Faithful Leadership. She has a passion for international travel and looks forward to exploring the world with her two young sons.

"We are blessed to have Tracy as part of our senior advisory group," says Steve VanderVeen, Director of the Center for Faithful Leadership at Hope College. "In addition, our students are blessed by her involvement, especially through our LdOut3 ("Lead Out" leadership training) and HEI (Hope Entrepreneurship Initiative) programs."

Says Reed Swith ('11), "Tracy provided an added dimension to my servant leadership experiences at CFL. She provided counsel on marketing and operation management ideas, which helping me create a vision for sustainability of the LdOut3 program. She took personal interest in my growth as a student director and as a person."

Scott Brandonisio ('13) agrees: "On multiple occasions, Tracy has taken time out of her busy schedule to sit down with me and help me make my business plan succeed. No matter how many questions I ask or how many annoying emails I send, she is always able to kindly point me in the right direction. I am extremely thankful for her support."
