Ensembles

The Music Department offers a variety of opportunities to participate in music ensembles during your time at Hope.

Hope’s more than twenty performing ensembles include the Chapel Choir, College Chorus, Collegium Musicum, Women’s Chamber Choir, Orchestra and Symphonette, Jazz Arts Collective, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Opera Workshop as well as numerous other classical, jazz, and vocal chamber ensembles. Concert tours by college ensembles occur regularly, including tours to the east and west coasts and overseas.

All ensembles are open to both music majors and non-majors. Most ensembles require some sort of audition. These auditions provide an opportunity for the ensemble conductors to meet new performers. Students can choose to enroll in any ensemble for zero credit, an option that helps to avoid course overloads and extra costs.

We invite you to explore the information provided and to contact the ensemble directors regarding auditions or any other questions you may have.
