Julia Cosgrove, soprano, holds a masters of music in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory where she was privileged to study under Ms. Carole Haber. Originally from Michigan, she holds a B.M. in performance from Taylor University. Ms. Cosgrove has sung roles including Despina (Cosi Fan Tutte), Rosina (Barber of Seville), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Lucy (The Telephone), The China Teacup, Shepherdess (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges) and more. As part of the NEC Chamber Singers she sang under the direction of Simon Carrington of the King’s Singers. Appearances include Brahms’ Requiem with the distinguished Handel and Haydn Society of Boston, and Laudate Dominum, an oratorio recital. Julia maintained a private studio in Boston and has previously taught at Cornerstone University and Grand Rapids Community College. She currently teaches at Hope College and has two little boys, ages three and one.
