spencer

Dan Spencer is a professional trombonist from Spring lake. He plays principal trombone with both the West Shore and Midland Symphony Orchestras. He also is a freelance trombonist in the grand rapids area having played with The Grand Rapids Symphony and Grand Rapids Civic orchestras. he is also an active teacher holding adjunct low brass instructor positions with Olivet College and Cornerstone University. He also maintains an extensive High/middle school private studio along the lakeshore.

Mr. Spencer holds degrees in Music Education from The Florida State University and Trombone Performance from Temple University. He has performed with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Mr. Spencer is married and has one son and a cat. He enjoys reading, building furniture, cycling, kayaking and gardening.
