A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Paul enjoys a varied teaching and performing career.  He has a diverse private studio for all ages, while also serving as Instructor of Jazz Trombone and Low Brass Methods at Hope College.

An active performer, Paul freelances throughout West Michigan while serving as principal trombone of the Holland Symphony Orchestra and lead trombone of the Holland Jazz Orchestra.  He has played and/or recorded with such musicians as Denis DiBlasio, John Cooper, Jim McNeely, Richard Davis, Eric Schrotenboer, and the West Michigan Symphony Orchestra, among others.

As head of the audio department at Grooters Productions, he has traveled the world working with composers and directors, as well as mixing audio for feature films, documentaries, commercials, and other media formats.  

Paul lives in Holland, Michigan with his wife Julie.
