Dean’s Science Division Faculty Research Award

The faculty research award will be a based on research accomplishments. Department chairs will make nominations. This will be done at the time of the annual evaluation. Each department may nominate one person. The award is based on significant accomplishment in scholarship. Criteria are:

1. Publications.
2. Grant awards.
3. Significant presentations at professional meetings.
4. External awards or other recognition from professional organizations and societies.
5. May be based on consideration of cumulative work or shorter-term accomplishments.

With input from an undisclosed committee of faculty colleagues, the Dean will select one winner. The 2006-7 award will include a cash prize ($500), support for one summer student stipend, and supplies ($500). This award will be made on an annual basis, and the announcement will be made at the spring Division Meeting.
