This course provides an introduction
to American political institutions. Topics surveyed include the U.S.
Constitution, parties and elections, Congress and the Presidency, the
impact of interest groups and the media, and public policy debates
on such issues as U.S. foreign policy, social issues, economic policy,
and more.

fulfills the Social Science 1B general education requirement.
