This course
introduces research methods and the use of quantitative and qualitative
techniques used by political scientists. We will encounter topics
that include conceptualization and measurement, hypothesis testing,
and data analysis. Students will develop research designs and learn
how to collect and analyze data using MicroCase© Explorit and
other techniques. The course emphasizes hands-on training that will
provide useful skills for academic and professional settings. No
prior data analysis or statistics background is necessary.
