American Foreign Policy

Overview:

American foreign policy is examined in global terms, with emphasis on altering political moods of the public, processes by which policy is formulated and executed, its current substance, and challenges of international politics.  Students in this course will have several choices for a term project, including participation in a simulation, work as a research assistant, preparation for a future seminar and a regular term paper. A special emphasis will be placed on President Bush's war against terrorism and how it relates to partners of American foreign policy.
