Dr. Annie
Dandavati
Dr. Annie Dandavati has been a member of the political science department faculty since 1992. Her areas of interest which include comparative politics, Latin American Politics, Gender and Development, and human rights, are reflected in the courses she offers and her academic publications. Dr. Dandavati was the recipient of the H.O.P.E. Award in 1997 and was also selected by the graduating class to be Commencement Speaker. She served as the Director of Women’s Studies and continues to be Director of International Studies. In 2011 she was honored by her peers with the Ruth & John Reed Faculty Achievement Award. In April 2011 she was selected by Mortar Board to deliver the ‘Last Lecture.’
