Hope Psychology Students Receive Awards

Professor Tom Ludwig Named Recipient of National Teaching Award

Tom LudwigWe are very pleased to announce that Professor Tom Ludwig was recently named the by the American Psychological Foundation (an arm of the American Psychological Association) the 2005 recipient of the Charles L. Brewer Distinguished Teaching of Psychology Award. This award is given annually to the psychologist who is deemed to have made a significant contribution to the teaching of psychology. Each year the American Psychological Association honors only one recipient with this award. This is a tremendous honor for Dr. Ludwig and for the college.

Dr. Ludwig is being recognized for his teaching ability as well as the worldwide contribution that he has made to psychology though is innovative software programs, which include psychsim and psychquest. Congratulations Tom!!

New Psi Chi Members Inducted

PsiChi Spring 2004

In April, approximately 20 students were inducted into Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology. Hope College has had a Psi Chi chapter since 1969. For more information on Psi Chi, please see the chapter website.
