The Five Scrolls is a collection of books that treat the loves, losses, and life-questions of the Israelites. For example, the Song of Songs is a series of dramatic and erotic love poems on the relationship between two lovers.
I am black and beautiful,
O Daughters of Jerusalem,
like the tents of Kedar,
like the curtains of Solomon.
