Internships

The social work program has internship opportunities available in approximately 35 local human service agencies, including schools, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations. Examples of where we currently have students placed include:

• Bethany Christian Services, Holland, MI
• Black River High School, Holland, MI
• Career Assessment Center, Holland, MI
• Center for Women in Transition, Holland, MI
• Child Development Services of Ottawa County, Zeeland, MI
• Children's Advocacy Center, Holland, MI
• Community Action House, Holland, MI
• D.A. Blodgett for Children, Grand Rapids, MI
• Freedom Village, Holland, MI
• Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliances, Holland, MI

Students may also elect to take their senior year internship in Chicago at the Chicago Metropolitan Center (CMC) or in Philadelphia at The Philadelphia Center (PC). Both the CMC and PC are able to place students in urban social work agencies, offering students a wide range of internship opportunities in a diverse urban setting.
