What do you find exciting or interesting about your major?
I like the fact that chemistry offers a wide range of opportunities in regard to career paths. I also like it that there are so many areas for exploration in this field. |
What are your career plans at this time?
After completing my undergraduate degree, I would like to pursue an advanced degree related to chemistry. My career path that I am interested in is working for the US government. |
Describe your summer research project.
I'm working with Dr. Kenneth Brown on a project that involves studying new electrode surfaces, known as chemically modified macroporous electrodes, and their electrochimical properties. |
What are some of your favorite activities outside of your school work?
Ouside of school, I enjoy playing soccer, cooking, reading, and being with friends and family. |
What were some influences on your decision to attend Hope?
I like the fact that Hope has a reputable chemistry program, it's a Christian college, and it's not too big. I also enjoy the atmosphere of Holland where Hope is located. |
