What are your career plans at this time?

Describe your summer research project.

My research project was to analyze the n-formylloline and n-acetylloline concentration of tall fescue grasses and then the results were taken to a GC/MS. This data is then given to a biologist from the biology department at Hope College, to evaluate the outcomes of the wound-induced resistance to the herbiviorous insects through alkaloid production. This helps to evaluate other benefits of the mutualistic relationship between the endophytes and grasses.

What are some of your favorite activities outside of your school work?

Cooking, hiking and volunteering

What were some influences on your decision to attend Hope?

The professors are great, and just the atmosphere of he school made me want to attend Hope.
